- Parking on a freshly installed floor before the full cure window has passed
Handling Spills
Motor oil, coolant, brake fluid, and other automotive fluids wipe up easily with a paper towel and mild degreaser — this is one of the biggest practical advantages over bare concrete, which absorbs and permanently stains. Clean spills promptly rather than letting them sit, simply to keep the floor looking its best, not because the coating is at risk.
Hot Tires in Texas Summer
Hot-tire pickup — where a hot tire slightly softens and lifts a coating — is more of a concern in extreme summer heat, which is exactly why we recommend polyaspartic over standard epoxy for most North Texas garages. Polyaspartic's chemistry resists hot-tire pickup far better than basic epoxy, even during a 105°F August.
