Refinish or Replace?

Clean the door thoroughly, sand any peeling or chalking areas, and fill dents or dings with an exterior-grade filler before priming. Steel doors need a rust-inhibiting primer on any bare metal spots; wood doors need attention to any rot or soft spots before paint goes on.

North Texas garage doors take a real beating from UV exposure. A 100% acrylic exterior paint rated for direct sun holds color and resists chalking far longer than a standard interior-grade or budget exterior paint.
